Our approach to therapy for ADHD
Dr. Monaco uses evidence-based treatments including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to address ADHD and related difficulties. Her approach to addressing ADHD and improving executive functioning skills includes helping clients learn:
Organizational Skills
Time Management Skills
Mindfulness Skills
Emotion Regulation Skills
Medication is often a key part of managing ADHD, in addition to learning and practicing new coping skills. I do not prescribe medication, but I will collaborate with your prescribing physician and refer clients to psychiatrists when appropriate.
I can teach you behavioral skills to improve your executive functioning and lead a more fulfilling life.
